Update = April 23rd 2019 – essentially, i believe it safer to be without these things.
i’ve come to the conclusion that the holder of the Title is the Holder in Due Course who has Author-ity to make law (code) over the item owned, which includes instructions for it’s use and to require said item be only used by Persons competent in the Owners View to use the thing registered = License
I believe if you have Tags/Plates registered to a “State” that you’re better off having a license to use it – – – but that if you have no license, that you’re better off not having STATE issued tags – i.e. do both, or neither, but not something in between.
I believe the best way to dispose of both is to rescind both with the issuing agency, thus leaving You with Absolute Ownership as the holder of the Bill of Sale – if you don’t have that, then maybe you should Sell it to Yourself 🙂
